7 Minute Frosting Recipe Double Boiler

Place over medium low heat and beat with an electric hand mixer constantly for 5 7 minutes or until icing is fluffy and stiff peaks form when beaters are removed. Remove top of double boiler. In double boiler top do not place it over water combine all ingredients but vanilla. Place over boiling water and beat with an electric mixer on high speed for 7 minutes or until frosting forms peaks when beaters are raised.
Beat with a handheld electric mixer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Most recipes for this frosting require beating the frosting over a double boiler for 7 minutes. Cream of tartar or 1 tb.
Step 1 in the top of a double boiler combine the sugar egg whites corn syrup water and vanilla. Place the mixing bowl on top of the saucepan of simmering water the bottom of the bowl should not touch the water and beat on high speed for 7 minutes or until stiff and glossy. In the top of a double boiler add the brown sugar egg whites water and salt. Instructions combine all ingredients except vanilla in a stainless steel heavy bottomed sauce pan.
